Greetings -- Thank you for visiting this page. This is a work in progress, in the near future you will be able to find information about Royal Rangers and resources for the Ranger Commander. You will also find more info on the FCF.

What is Royal Rangers?

Royal Rangers is America's premier, most sought after mentoring ministry for next generation men!

Today's boy is tomorrow's man. The best time to train a man is while he's still a boy. By mobilizing, inspiring, and resourcing mentors, Royal Rangers offers character and servant leadership education to boys and young men (K-12) in a highly relational, fun, and interactive environment.

Influence more, more effectively! That is our vision. In 1962, Royal Rangers started with only a few boys. Today, thanks to the innovation and devotion of our mentors "to influence more boys and young men than ever, more effectively than ever," Royal Rangers' influence continues to expand, shaping future generations one boy at a time.

Royal Rangers exists to "Evangelize, Equip, and Empower the next generation of Christlike men and lifelong servant leaders." This is our passion!
Mentoring future men with God's Word as our guide is our aim.

New Patch Lay out for RK Vest PDF Print E-mail

Due to the change of the size and shape of the Ranger Kids advancement patches in June of 2009 the vest patch layout depicted in the Ranger Kids handbook is no longer appropriate.  This layout has therefore now been changed as depicted below.

The BACK of the vest remains unchanged, with Achievement Award patches placed in rows beginning 2” below the top seam (patches touching) and activity patches placed along the bottom edge.

The RIGHT FRONT of the vest now displays the first three quarterly advancement patches for each year, beginning with year 1, quarter 1 on the bottom inner corner and proceeding up and out sequentially.

The last two quarterly advancement patches in each year are now placed on the LEFT FRONT of the vest, beginning with year 1, quarter 4 on the bottom inner corner and proceeding up and out sequentially.  The Ranger Kids Gold Trail patch is placed on the left front, centered above the 3rd and 4th quarter advancement patches.  If the Gold Trail medal is worn, it is centered above the Gold Trail patch.

How To Start Royal Rangers PDF Print E-mail
Written by Administrator

You don't have a Royal Rangers outpost in your church. You are eager to launch. What's next? There are three simple but deliberate steps to take as you lay the foundations for a lasting and effective ministry to the next generation of men in your church and community...Ready, set, go!

STEP 1 - READY

On my mark, get in the know! That is what this first step involves, preparing yourself with knowledge. Make decisions and plans on solid information.  Start by reading the Royal Rangers Leaders Manual. It draws a clear picture of the value Royal Rangers adds to the health and vitality of a church and describes its simplicity and flexibility to compliment easily your church's discipleship process.

Information will spark vision as you consider the limitless opportunities Royal Rangers affords you and your church to touch young families in your community. That is why churches launch Royal Rangers-to evangelize, equip, and empower the next generation of Christlike men and lifelong servant leaders. Every parent wants his/her sons to fit that description!

STEP 2 - SET

Draw-up plans for success! Start by asking the "what" assessment questions.

*  What kind of outpost will impact the greatest number of families in our community? Would that be a Sunday outreach ministry, a mid-week family night design, an off-site or multi-site approach, or...? Yes, the possibilities are many. Dream! While Rangers is simple and flexible, it is also expandable and comprehensive.

*  What kind of image will attract the greatest number of boys to our Royal Rangers outpost-a casual feel, a contemporary sportsman feel, or a formal and disciplined feel? From the annual promotional CD with contemporary banner design to the modern uniform line, Royal Rangers offers resources to help you create the look and feel that will work for you.

*  What budget considerations must we make? Will parents cover the cost of their son's participation, will the church cover it, or will it be somewhere in between? Royal Rangers offers options to work on any size budget so that every church and family can participate!

After asking these and other assessment questions, start asking the "who" questions. Who can lead this ministry? Carefully select the right leaders and discuss your vision. Then get them into Rangers training. The Rangers Ministry Academy offers a clear and dynamic four-level training program for local leaders-Ready, Safety, Trained, and Advanced. Get your leaders through the first two, and you will have leaders eager and prepared to launch! After the kick-off, encourage them to finish their training.

STEP 3 - GO!

Ready, set, go! You have already asked "What" and "Who." Now, it is time to ask "When?" When should we begin? Should we start at the beginning of a new school year or a new calendar year, or should we start at the start of the summer?

As you can tell, starting Royal Rangers is not difficult, but it does require walking through a deliberate process to lay a solid foundation upon which the ministry can grow and thrive. Because you launch Royal Rangers, boys and families will put their faith in Jesus. They will grow in their knowledge of Christ, maturing as godly men and future husbands, fathers, and churchmen. They will become Spirit-filled and empowered for a life of Kingdom service! Yes, mentoring relationships can be that powerful!
